Venting

by Lecrissa   Apr 18, 2005

I got a job that pays 5.65 an hour
I put up with rude customers
And their messy children
I Have to deal with the wondering drunks
And their bad tempers
I'm not aloud to complain
So I have this smile to show my disdain
I put up with Co-workers who don't do their work
I put up with a boss who happens
To be a real big jerk
Your told to do something
You do it
Then your yelled at for doing it wrong
I was hired to serve food not to scrub
And wax the walls
You don't dear yell back for fear of lousing your job

5.65 was minimum wage at that time
I worked in a pizza joint

im sorry to hear that you got this kind of crappy job. i do hope you can look for one that you can be happy to go to everyday. but this is a good poem for a ventation. keep up the writing, even if it is in frustration. and stay safe, strong, and healthy!

That would really suck! I think we have all had one of those types of jobs one time in our lives! I know you said you can't spell so I won't correct the errors. Take Care and keep posting! Brooke
