For the love of their lady

by Sabine Taylor   Apr 18, 2005

With crowns and emblems
They went into the battle
Their sword in their right hand
And the shelter in the left
To fight for their country and king

After the fight
They came back home
As honoured soldiers
Heroes who defended
Their country and king

They lived
They fought
They died
For their country and king
But there were some gentlemen
Who lived
Who fought
Who would have died
For a greater power in their life
For the love of a lady

The lady of their heart
Whose love was the only thing
They needed to live their life
In such a dangerous way
With crowns and emblems
They fought their next battle
Though they knew
That they could have seen
Their lady
The last time
When they died in the fight
For their country and king
