A castoff toy

by Gergely Nyaguly   Apr 18, 2005

I lay in the shadow
Like a thrown-off amber.
Her fingers were so soft!
Only to remember...

She did pet me gently.
She was playing a bit!
Felt I was in Eden,
Not expected be hit!

She could see my weakness.
Rusty, junk and sallow...
Tiny scars and big sores,
Oh, I was so callow!

Maybe, because of this,
She wanted a new one.
Just like all the others,
She, too, left me undone...

Don't worry! That's my role!
Keep going on playing!
Don't think for the future,
Whatever I'm feeling!

Just play! Touch me! Cuddle!
I'd give for it any'!
I was born to sustain
You take delight in me!

Let's play! Use me once more!
Do not have any fear!
But, when I'll be broken,
Put me back please, right here...

I wonder, is the pain
Getting onl' in my heart?
Or, laying in the dark
Does it make yours, too, tart?
