My Best Friend

by Joy   Apr 19, 2005

What can I possibly say,
About my best friend,
She’s always been there for me,
Until the very end.

Sometimes we argue,
Or fight over silly things,
But even when I was at my lowest,
She always had my wings.

There have been some tears,
When things have gotten rough,
But the two of us together,
Are just so very tough.

I don’t know what I’d do without her,
She’s done so much for me,
It will take a lifetime,
For her to really see.

We’ve had our funny times too,
Like walking to Taco Bell,
Or doing Karaoke at the Rock Hall,
And tripping each other ‘til we fell.

We would always watch Hope & Faith,
And pretend we were the two,
As you can all see,
There’s so much we’ve been through.

This list could go on forever,
And thankfully it will,
Because even in fifty years,
Friends we will be still.

So this poem I give to you Steph,
On your 14th birthday,
I’d like to thank you for being there,
In each and every way.

**I wrote this for my best friend Stephanie on her 14th birthday...she's been there for me through EVERYTHING and I don't know what I'd do without her! I hope everyone has a friend they can depend on like this!**
