You asked me a question on Saturday night
Why I wonder honey, would that be your plight
To know whether or not I’m still pure
Why I wonder to the one I still adore
If you read this please don’t get upset
It’s just me talking out loud to your behest
Don’t think I’m being rude
And I’ll try not to be very crude
But what did reading my poem do to you
Did it awaken something oh so true
Did it ignite that fire inside
Did it give life to a flame so high
Did it stir your lust
I hope with this I don’t lose your trust
It’s not my intension to hurt
But to a burning passion give birth
If my words made you smile I’m glad
Through them there is lots of pleasure to be had
Either with someone you care for
Or if you want to do it by yourself I’m sure that won’t be a bore
I hope this poem lights up your cheek
Written for you by one who is meek
Honey if you read this, know I still care
And wish for your happiness, genuinely my dear
