Twilight

by Karl Brondehoff   Apr 19, 2005

Like shadows before a waning sun,
my soul falls to the shadow.
I started a journey to find myself, but I've only begun.
For I live hidden, myself kept low.

I believe there is much more than this,
but I cannot stay.
For mine is not the way of bliss.
I struggle to remember:This too will pass away.

My path is jagged as the rocks,
upon which my heart beats.
The only oathes I make,
my progress blocks.
The promise of hope and love my only torturous treats.

The sun has set now, all is dark,
I can no longer see your face,
when it all fell away it was just a lark.
Now the only thing I as, is my dying grace.

Don't read to much into this peeps.
especially YOU.
