House of bricks

by Leanne   Apr 19, 2005

It happened a long long time ago
When I saw you through the shop window
It was like the perfect fairytale
My love for you on a beautiful sail
You looked my way and that is when
I knew you wanted me more than a friend

Because time flies by when you are here
Held in you’re arms I have no fear
Bless the times that you’re with me
They become the sweetest memories

You gotta job that’s out of town
Our lonesome bed brings me a frown
Meals for one in the microwave
Im all alone but I will be brave
For when you arrive it’ll be the best
And seem as though you never left.

Because time flys by when you are here
Held in you’re arms I have no fear
Bless the times that you’re with me
They become the sweetest memories

Those times
Those times...
Them times have changed
Them times have gone
Them times got a one way ticket home

Now I’m watching through the shop window
Those last 3 months have gone so slow
Another woman on your arm
Another girl to love your charm
What’s left of what you had with me?
The nightmare of a memory

When you’re not here the air is cold
You’re still here a haunting mould
How long does one heart take to fix
Once crushed by a house of bricks
Once crushed by a house of bricks
once crushed by 1000 bricks…
