Never Really Gone

by Khristian   Apr 19, 2005

Dark mounds of earth filled with fallen heroes
The fiery sun setting in the west
That holds many secrets no one knows
Sleeping forever, finally at rest
Rain clouds come, mourning for the lost
This place doesn't stop, but it doesn't go on
Life comes with a price, and this was the cost
Their footsteps may fade, but they are never really gone
Life is what they offer, what they give by their untimely end
Every morning when we wake, we should thank them
