Your Answer

Your answer is just a whisper away,
the word that begs you to stay.
From images of bliss I still have of you,
listen my love for this is true.
I have never felt like this with another,
but I must admit I had other lovers.
You gave to me the deepest piece for free,
and I showed you the man I have come to be.
It was your words and comfort that has brought me hear,
but as I read your letter, I guess it’s what I fear.
To be parted from you and never to hear your voice,
well I guess it’s meant to be by your choice.
If it were my choice to call this all to an end,
I would ask that you still remain my friend.
Too much has come between us to walk away,
and my love for you haunts me everyday.
It was wrong, the passion we shared in the shadows of sin,
but with the touch of you my soul did win.
I gave to you everything I could ever be,
and as we danced to our lustful content we made us free.
Still word words would I say to never make you go away,
what do I have to do to make you stay?
To truly love you I know I must set you free,
but remember the man that will always love you is me.
