Hush Little Baby

by Leah   Apr 20, 2005

A little baby,
on a porch,
left alone to cry.

A little baby,
on a porch,
left alone to die.

A little baby,
on a porch,
getting kind of cold.

A little baby,
on a porch,
wishing someone would hold.

A little baby,
on a porch,
now that night has fallen.

Please god,
held this baby,
help, help,
amen.

A little baby,
on a porch,
dying of cold and of hunger.

God will help this baby,
it couldn't have been any younger.

Hush little baby,
don't you cry,
everything will be alright.

You'll be sitting on Heaven's porch,
with Angels...

You'll sleep better tonight...

A little body,
on a porch,
dead and all alone.

A little body,
on a porch,
finally free and home...
