Beautiful Heart

by Leah   Apr 20, 2005

A girl with lots of spirit,
but a secret,
deep,deep down.

Her mother and father,
too wed her,
picking out a gown.

A boy she doesn't know,
having to be his bride,
frustration and tears,
she feels inside.

Running from her problems,
fighting everyone away,
Her sun and her spirit,
everything turning grey.

Loving him she knows,
is so untrue,
she'll do everything possible,
not to have to say "i do."

Her parents lock her up,
saying she must marry him,
But marrying someone,
she doesn't love,
would be an endless sin.

Two years going by,
locked up in her room,
Nobody to share her misery,
just knowing she'll be in her tomb.

Knowing she can never escape,
she must go out with what she stands for,
She looks around for a knife,
in her dresser drawer.

Good bye to the world I loved,
but I cannot sin,
a tear drops from her high,
with that she raises her chin.

Her parents found her that night,
but weeped nothing at all,
her mother brought in a mop and broom,
and started to clean her walls.

They threw away her body,
they threw away her clothes,
but what happened to her body,
not many know.

Why must she leave her family?
Who must she lave her destiny?

Her story will impart.

She always laughed,
in the end,
she had a beautiful heart...
