Shoes 2

by Lithium   Apr 20, 2005

I live in a dark hole,
Next to my friends,
In a small space,
Where there’s no start or end,

I get stepped on all day,
Become woozy from the smell,
Put back on the shelf at dawn,
I think today I performed well,

Occasionally I get sprayed with perfume,
And get pretty laces,
Treated special,
Go outside and see children’s smiling faces,

Maybe being a shoe,
Isn’t that bad,
I support people’s feet,
And never get sad.
