It's funny at times, but often sad
Living a life that doesn't make you glad
Residing inside a mortal existence
Seeking for longevity in determined persistence
If only we'd stumble upon a serum
To bring back the dead - sometimes I hear em
Or I think I do when in isolation
The voice gives me strength
It gives motivation
It cheers me up when I'm feeling low
It passes the time when all else seems slow
Back to my point, to what I'm trying to say
Do you have a faith?
Is there a God to which you pray?
You put your faith in a being,
But does it really live?
Taking all your faith,
And what does it give?
Believe in yourself,
You just cant go wrong,
Become your OWN God,
Learn to be strong,
I know it's not easy,
But you'll do it if you try,
If at first you don't succeed,
Ask yourself why,
As I write this poem, I think:
where will life end?'
When I reach death,
Will it somehow extend?
I don't know the answers,
But maybe that's best,
For life's an achievement,
A considerable quest,
However you look at it,
We're in the same boat,
And that boat is called Life,
And on the same river we float,
To our destiny, to our lives ambition
Just pick up a ticket to gain admission,
To Heaven or Hell,
Or wherever we go -
Deep in the ground, 6 feet below,
You're born, you live, you die looking pale,
A never ending search for the elusive Holy Grail
