Mom AND Dad

by Brenda Matthews   Apr 20, 2005

A beautiful soul i loved so much
why did god take her from my touch.**
She was there in my life when i needed her near
she kelp me safe and dried my tears....**
As time passed Mom was not at peace
it seemed nothing could make her melancholy cease.**
Several times through the years
so close to dying she came we were all in tears.**
But for some reason we dint understand
god would take her by the hand.**
Then one cold and rainy day
my beautiful mother passed away**
God didn't want her to be alone
so three days later he called dad to bring her home.**
Dad was our strenght there was no doubt
but his big old heart finally gave out.**
So in the blinking of an eye they both were gone
and left me here to grieve alone.**
God please take then to your breast
and give them a deserved and peaceful rest.*
Together in life together in death
walk slow dear love ones and wait for me.**

Bren, This was touching and beautiful. You surely had it hard losing your Mom then three days later losing your Dad. Great job, I love you, *Ann*
