I wish I could protect you, but I am too weak to stand

I wish I could find the strength to take your hand

I wish that I could kiss you, And hold you in my arms
Protect you from the pain, and hatred inside you
Replace your knife, and stop your self harm

I wish I had the strength to lie with you next to me
To hold you through the night, and help you
I wish I could show you how I feel, I wish you could see

I wish I had the power, to take you away from pain
Push me down use me as an escape
I want to see you smile and be happy again

I wish I had the courage, to kiss you
But I don't think you want that feeling
I wish I had the right words to tell you I love you
