He's not my dad

by Child of God   Apr 21, 2005

You don't love the child your wife had
You lost the right to be called dad
You messed up her mind and broke her heart
You're the reason you two are apart

You appear out of the blue and put on a show
You thought she would be sad you had to go
You're not her dad , dads would never do that
You didn't care she was anorexic because she's fat

She can't be an actress, a lawyer, a doctor or a model
You said she's not smart enough, pretty enough good enough
So she sits on the bathroom floor with a bottle
A bottle of what?...pills you know that sleeping stuff

I bet it pisses you off she has a prettier soul
Her heart is mending where you left that hole
And she's growing up to be something
You always said she'd amount to nothing

You wont say that when she has 4 degree's
And you see her on the runway on t.v
I bet you'll claim her then right?
You'll tell everyone you two are alright

And the saddest part is, she wont turn you down
She not like you, she hates that sound
The sound of hurt and pain it makes her cry
She has no desire to wish you to die

Somehow, after all that...I can't hate you
You're still not dad , but i don't hate you
You wish I were dead, but i don't hate you
No matter how much you hate me, I can't hate you
