I'm In My Tears

All you see now,
Is half truths and lies.
But you’re sick of this hiding,
You want to rip my disguise

It won’t be pretty,
That I can tell you.
For beneath this cover,
A monster’s hidden from view.

Something so hideous,
It’ll make your stomach weak.
So why did you peel,
Why did you peek?

You couldn’t just leave,
And let me be.
No, you had to look,
And see the real me.

Don’t you get it,
I don’t want her here.
You really want to see her,
Watch me cry a tear.

As it’s born from my eyes,
It gets a great start.
Starts in a good place,
And has a whole heart.

As it falls off my face,
That stands for her life.
For the black, broken heart,
And all the painful strife.

When it falls the ground,
Is when her life was taken.
All memories-a small splash,
And her name was forsaken.

She lives only in my tears,
Just like I said before.
And just to make you happy,
I’ll sit and cry some more.

I’ll cry so much,
My eyes will run dry.
Then you’d see all of me,
I won’t have to lie.
