Parents to some degree affect the child. In my case, i can say, yes, my parents have affected me. For life.

Hmmm, this is a very good topic to write about...makes u think really hard about what affects children...
Well, I think that both environment and the parents affect the child simply bcuz of one word: influence. It's all what the child is used to in their lives, i suppose. Maybe if they grew up in an abusive home, they might be more withdrawn. Maybe if they grew up in a happy home they might be...well, happier, more outgoing. U C where I'm gettin at? But very interesting topic, i gotta say! Thank you for the comment on Quiet Solitude.
