Bittersweet

by Amanda Sloan   Apr 21, 2005

"I don't want to let go" I say
forcing myself to sleep

"He doesn't want to speak to me"
Breaking the scene where dreams should be

Uncontrollably i succumb to
this bittersweet feeling
Hiding in me

"Where will love lead" my mind speaks to me
and "how will you find me" my heart grieves

In Dreams as i sleep
Come to me
Find me sweet darling
Where our love can meet

"How will you find me" my mouth shouts now

Up there in the clouds
The pillows lay in dust
Please shake me now

I don't want to let love go
I don't want you gone
"Sweep away this bittersweet feeling" I scream with intensity

How will you find me
Up there so high
I'll be hiding in my dreams
"Find me" I whisper as I lie

I need the tantalizing feeling when we touch
I need this love to forget how its lost so much

I need to unmask the darkness and let the light prevail
I need to let my faults disintegrate into the air

All wrapped up until now
The tapestry has unraveled itself
Tossing down the threads
Cutting loose
This bittersweet feeling
Hiding in me
