My True Realism

by Andy Howse   Sep 6, 2003

With a naivety over wisdom I find myself carelessly looking around,
Wondering with this simple mind all that I found,
I look up into the never ending sky, pondering the simplest thought,
With this single identity, only simple opinion I realise what I have been taught.

My knowledge is not of a greatness of what is known,
I have learned from life, the greatest teacher clearly shown,
Reality to me is inside my heart ready to show,
The world is only brief to me in time until I let go.

To go with what’s given, by giving what I receive,
Shown before me is my life, I will believe,
Time has my decisions wrapped up in this still,
Travelling through all and everything my imagination will.

For you see I don’t need knowledge only a chance,
To joyfully live life with a strengthened stance,
I don’t need to know everything but only me,
Everything is possible when thinking simply, wanting to see.
