Friends forever, i promise

by Amanda   Apr 22, 2005

You never believe it when people say “It goes by fast”
You smile and say “Not fast enough”.
It does not hit you until senior year that it has.
When you look back at all the things you’ve done
You realize you could have done so much more.
All your friends are leaving you
And there is nothing you can do about it.
You can not run, scream, and jump on them in the halls
People would look at you kind of strangely.
But this is not a time for sadness,
Please don’t cry, because I’ll start too.
I promise we’ll see each other when ever we can.
Hopefully, we will be the same people we are today, ten years from now.
Remember the time we broke the statue, and no one admitted it,
We stood by each other even as shy, unnoticed freshmen.
Remember when Mr. Thomas threw students off a building,
Just to make up a problem we had to work.
And when we complained about the parking lot
You know, “Why don’t they just pave already?”
And they gave us plenty of excuses why they could not
But look what happened now,
I guess our complaining finally got to them.
I know I will never forget our senior year,
All the teachers saying we were the best class to come through in a long time
Bailey, pulling of senior skip day, our pranks, and the unity we have as a class.
I know I’ll miss you,
Because I love my 73 sisters.
Like some one once said “Though distance lie between us, we’re never far apart, because friendship doesn’t count the miles, its measured by the heart.”
