Not a dream

by vanessa barnes   Apr 22, 2005

The scent
It filled the air
Love passed through our bodies
Holding out my arms
Embracing tightly
The power of love
Coursed throughout my soul

The rising sun
A new day of affection
Heart crested jewels
Sparkling in our eyes

A glance
Never missed
A touch
Never forgotten
A butterfly
That can’t get out of my stomach

I was reborn
On a wonderful day
My heart pumped fast
As I embraced him tightly
Never letting go

It wasn’t a silly girls dream. It was true.
