I remember how we first met and how strange I felt we connected.
I remember the first phone call I received from you, it was on Christmas day and it really took my breath away.
You were serving in a war for our country and you told me you would be home soon.
You told me, you would wait in line to check your e-mails to see if I had written you and then you would e-mail me back to reassure me you were safe and okay.
I laid awake at night, wondering where you were and if you were okay.
I'd wish on the brightest star, that you would come home safe to me and your family.
Each call was precious and to hear your voice, soothe me of my daily fears.
The day I received that phone call at 4 A.M. in the morning, that you had finally made it back to the States OK, I cried with relief.
And when you came up to see me, I knew you were the one for me and I was the one for you.
With these words that are coming from my heart, I know is true...I really am in love with you.
And until the day, I am no longer breathing.....I am Forever Yours....
**I dedicated this to Ssgt Philip Payton, who is the love of my life.**
