My Sister

My sister is always there for me
She has helped me become who I am and will be

She has been there when all was good
Loving me the way no other sister would

When I would sniffle at a scrape or cut
She would always be there no matter what

She taught me how to love and care
Helping me realize it was going to be okay, even when life wasn't fair

She held me when I felt bad
And wiped away my tears when I was sad

My sister was there when life got rough
Showing me how to be strong and tough

She cried with me when I felt lonely
Telling me that I wasn't the only

She protected me in the worst situations
Even in all of life's complications

When I thought I would burst she was there
Letting me talk and ending in prayer

When all I wanted to do was die
She helped me feel better and just let me cry

I promised myself that I would never to anything to make her feel pain
She's the only thing that has kept me sane

I love her to death, I don't know what I'd do
If she wasn't there to see me through

But I guess I do, because...you see
I don't have a sister, I only have me.
