Where Depression Dwells

by Brook   Apr 23, 2005

Depression Dwells in the back corner
of your mind, simply waiting
for the perfect time to come
out of hiding. It is almost
like it hibernates inside of you
until everything is ok...then
it strikes, and you don't know
what happened. Everyone asks
you what's wrong, but you
really don't know, so you
seclude yourself until this
draining problem goes away,
or you think it does, but
when you go back to your friends it's not
like it used to be,
so you fall deeper into
the dark pit of depression,
until it drowns you in
its black sorrow.

Wow, awesome stuff again. I like your portrayal of depression and I also like how you break the sentences up on different lines. Usually this just makes the poem sound disjointed but I think in this case it works well.
