For One Day

by Jasmin   Apr 24, 2005

I came to your house to give you a painting -you slammed the door,
Were you not interested or was this for sure?
I came to sit on your table but you had pushed me quickly away,
Were you too popular and insisted we should be friends just for a day?
I sent you a letter in the mail,
Were you too shy to tell me that our friendship was going to fail?
I told you secrets like I could rely on you but what did you do,
Were you not trustworthy any more or was I not worthy for you?
I came to give you a bracelet, but you trapped me like a net,
You said, “look, get away now, you’re not in the popular set.”
But now I knew this place was not a place to cry,
So longed to go back home feeling like I should die,
But I thought to my self 'why this?'
Did not I have some better friends that I also did miss?
I cried like rain at the thought of losing friends I actually trust,
So have to tell them 'I’m sorry' I just must,
I had my plan for tomorrow and stay I with my best friend,
Because I know our friendship won't come to ends.
