Letting Go

by Rad   Apr 24, 2005

I remember the first time I saw you,
It was at a park in Valdosta
while I was staying at my friends house
We sat waiting for you, because I wanted to meet you

you were my ex-boyfriends best friend
I talked to you on the phone a few months before meeting
you got on the phone and played around.
"ima steal your girl" it what you said, laughing

I laughed also, then he took the phone back.
Then after a few minutes, we hung up the phone.
But now the time has come, for us to meet in person.
So my friend and I waited for you to show up.

We almost got ready to walk, then you finally came.
My friend introduced us, then we set out to walk.
We rode some rides, then came to both mine and your favorite.
Hangman It was called, upside down it did go.

When we got settled in the seat, it was time to ride.
As the ride started off, it went uphill slowly.
As it did, you asked me to be your girlfriend.
In need of a boyfriend, I said yes.

As the time passed by and we continued to date
I grew into loving you, but no one knows it but me
Now you've moved so far away, its hard for me to sleep.
9 months have passed since I seen you last.

7 months of us dating has approached.
Still, it seems as though you don't really care for me
As i never hear from you anymore
Sometimes i feel depressed and wonder why I'm here.

most of all, I feel like

LETTING GO

of everything.
