A heart full of pain

Time is standing still
And the memories remain
There are scars on my heart
And my life is filled with pain

It is not very often
Where I wake up with a smile
And many times I wonder
If my life is even worth while

My scars bring back memories
From times in the past
Like the time he broke my heart
When he told me it would last

I know I should move on
And leave this all behind
Because now I can see
That I was the one who was blind
