Mom

by eternal rest   Apr 24, 2005

Dear mom,
Its mothers day once again.
A time when children wrack their brains
For yet another gift.

But this year,
I thought about the last time I told you
How much I truly love you.
It seems like it’s been so long
So this poem, mother dear,
Comes straight from my heart.

For all the times you’ve been there for me
Holding my hand while I cried
Understanding every situation
I mean this,
Thank you.

For every time you made me laugh
With your stories at the dinner table.
And every time you helped me
Through all my emotions.
For all of your advice
I cherish most dearly.

You’ve been there
Through thick and thin,
Black and white,
When I needed you most.

You’re my mother,
And I’m proud of that fact.
But what I’m really here to say
Is that I’m grateful to have such a wonderful mom,
And I love you
With all my heart.

Forever and always,
Kelly

Aww, what a loving dedication. very beautiful, but perhaps you should post it in the special events category of mother's day.... I think it's gorgeous. 5/5
