Lovers of Love

by Katelyn   Apr 24, 2005

Love, so sweet, gentle and kind
Draws us together as one
as if to complete the will of fate
I wish it was true, but wait it is.

I believe even two enemies
Hated for many generations
can one day come together as once before
With open arms and pure emancipation

It only takes a moment to find the key
The one true light,
The answer,
to end the bloodshed of this meaningless fight.

Across the room he sees a dove
So beautiful, he is drawn to her,
Just like a moth to a flame,
He must be dreaming for sure.

There eyes then meet and follow fate’s plan
And confess love is in their hearts,
The plot moves quicker and marriage comes to
To make a promise for an eternity to never to part.

Lives clash and the future turns
More things turn to the end,
It is a climax of a permanent change
A word of banishment and death is what they send.

One last night they meet together,
Love so tender they can’t let go,
The passion surrounding their hearts
To feel one hand on another we know.

Things are not what they seem
The fake power of a trick mirror
Or the bite of Snow White’s red apple,
The reality we should not fear.

It’s too late for lover’s peace
he doesn’t know what is true
the path is chosen and blood is spilled,
Death is the last answer we cannot undo.

At once, the light is dim
we see her laying still, breath no more
Her beauty never left her silk face to touch,
One last kiss, and now I join you.

The taste of death filling his veins
and to the ground he fell,
Moment too late from sleep she awakens,
Her pain of her love is contained in this cell.

Her promise was to never let go
as she takes her last breath,
The dagger pierces her skin
and the darkness revels her death.

If only life was different
We can only pray they are together,
Love is patient, love is kind,
They are history’s lovers forever.
