Losing You

At one point we were good friends,
Telling each other our secrets and dreams,
We supported each other when we needed help,
We took our friendship to high extremes.

One day it all just faded,
In one blink it all was gone.
No one to share last nights dream with,
My friend had withdrawn.

At school we glanced at each other,
Giving each other dirty looks,
We wouldn't let the other one know,
So we stared at each other while reading books.

It's funny how in an instant so many things can change,
And how such a big decision can be made.
Things would have been so much better,
if you had just stayed.

Now everything is a mess,
tears dripping to the floor.
Praying everyday,
To have things the way they were before.
