In the photo booth

by ..::.alreadyGoNe..::.   Apr 24, 2005

I look through our pictures
one's we took in the booths
we smile we laugh we make kissey faces
i slowly rip us away from each other
tears plopping on the ink
making your face consumed
by an orbed tear
then i tape us back together
because we aren't perfect
and we all aren't meant to be
we're all so different
we try to make each other jealous
to make us feel better
we always looked so happy
yet we know we're falling apart
if we could only stay in that picture booth forever
and have the smiles frozen on our faces
the pictures may last longer
than our friendship can
all 6 of us
weaving in and out
so many different photos
who knows what we were thinking
as we laughed
and smiled toothy grins
made the love and peace signs with our fingers
and stuck out our tongues
there I'm finished taping us back together
it may be a little messy
and a little crude
but i just hope that tape stays together and doesn't disintegrate away
leaving us to go our own ways
