You judge me when you dont even know me. You ridicule my actions without knowing my reasons. You laugh when I cry, but would you be laughing if you knew why. Have you ever walked in my shoes or lived in my room. Have you ever feared for your life or even worse your innocence. Have you ever wondered why I never talk. You stare at my clothes, at my hair I never wash. You think I\\\'m a slob, you think I\\\'m disgusting. Would you think that if you knew waht I\\\'ve been through? Have you ever forced yourself to throw- up to please someone. Have you ever been told you were \\\"worthless\\\", by the only person you ever trusted. If you haven\\\'t then why do you critisize my moves. You notice the anger and frustration. You notice my behavior. You notice my fear. But, still you just stand there avoiding what might as well be the plague. Have you ever raised a kid thats not your when you were too young to even start school. Have you ever had to so something simply for the reason that your feared you\\\'d get hurt if you didn\\\'t. Have you ever slept with your eyes open becasue you always had to be aware. When was the last time you were afraid to go home becasue your mom could be lying dead on the floor. When was the last time you got looked up and down like some kind of treat by a thirty year old man. What if I told you daily, would you still judge becaseu of what you see. Would you be laughing everytime you saw me crying. If you understood my reasons would I still be considered a plague? Would it affect you at all, would you blink an eye? Could I trust you with the truth or would you use it to hurt me? Whatever you do I jsut want you to ask yourself this. Have you ever walked in my shoes or lived in my bedroom? If your answer is \\\"no\\\" maybe you should try asking me why I am the way I am. |

This was an amazing poem. It seriously made me stop and think to myself about judging other people before I know them. Thanks for writing this and keep up the good poems! |
