The Man in The Crowd

by shadows cloud my ability to love save me   Apr 25, 2005

You once told me of things you couldn't speak of.
Things such as passion and love.

But after being with you,
I saw how love can be cruel and untrue.

Love can blind.
Love can infatuate the mind.

When you held my hand you keep me safe,
Safe from the memories which I can never replace.

In that one state of bliss,
You made my worries disappear with just one kiss.

There were moments when I catched my self looking into ever crowded room that I stepped into.

Hoping you are the first one that I would see.
The one that are in thoughs dense memories.

But as I looked around you were no place to be found.
The man that would stay hidden in the for standing crowd.

this is a really good poem. It's strange because it doesnt really flow, yet it still feels right. It takes me to the crowd, it works. Good luck.
