Cover girl

by Tiera   Apr 25, 2005

She uses brown foundation
to cover up her tears.
Glitter and glamor she uses
to forget her fears.
She carefully plants smiles
in the right places.
So the sorrow she feels,
you will never be able to trace it.
A true actor
clever in every way.
When you ask her whats wrong,
she already planned what to say.
All she does is cry,
but she can't let anyone see.
So she places joy in her eyes
and to her smile a little glee.
But behind the jewels, the shimmer and fancy clothes,
is a young girl whose hurting
but can't let anyone know.
So she takes out her lip gloss
sweet peach swirl,
and forces a smile.
I call her cover girl.
