The Truest Person

by Robert   Apr 25, 2005

Unbreakable I am wave crashing on their own,
in a world of rough waters all alone.
I build no great monument to faith or county that live,
for all I have is my memories and words to give.
No Government will grant me the right to protect,
for in their eyes I am a complete defect.
A scorned figure to be set aside at will,
a person to hopefully die by a pill.
Another statistic another blind soul,
just wandering the earth with no goal.
Deep inside me beats the heart of something unreal,
a thirst for life and love to be the man I will.
Hard wired to succeed at any cost,
even if his body is eternally lost.
A hunter to some a fight to all,
born to grow old and make his call.
He shall stand alone, when no one dares to come near,
and by his will alone, will hide every fear.
People will die all around him but he will surly stand,
alone in the night making signs in the sand.
Governments will see his way and wish him to die,
and before he parishes he will make his follows ask why.
Covering up the truth like the masters have done before,
they will burn with anger and want to know more.
An Idea a way of life that no one thought would arrive,
a single understanding that everyone can survive.
Banded together with a common goal they will succeed,
but they need to be cautious of their own greed.
Together each man has the will to do good and evil in the end,
so take time out, and let everyone be a friend.
Don’t envy or lust for what others get with ease,
for it is not better, it’s just a tease.
Work hand in hand Know no color or race,
for we are all human capped with a different face.
I am like you in the respect that I will live and die,
but I know what my life for and I need not ask why.
In the blackest of times when your heart crumbles from all the pain,
and your body grows weary from life’s constant strain.
What will you do fight or chuck it all for bliss,
will you find happiness, who will you remember who will you miss?
What will they say when your put to rest by the shove or flame,
for what visions of life will appear when someone mentions your name.
Can you stand there and tell me that life is too dark and you should not go on,
or belly up to the bar and tell me this a new dawn.
We die and rise so many times in this life you see,
for the only true person is what you wish to be.

Long but this was worth the read. I really loved the sstory and the moral it had behind it. You word chose was amazingly descrptive, really brought the life out in this poem. the emtion was deep and strong. The only problems with this that I found are a few grammer, errors, and lack of punction, but if i dwelled on it I would be a hyprocite. Very well written, once again Robert you have done an amazing job. 5/5
