Devil's playground

by reborn   Apr 26, 2005

It's incredible
How satan was able
To deceive human kind
Can't you see that you're blind
You go on living
Everyday thinking
That you're doing what's best for you
Whereas in reality the world stripped you
Of your right
To walk in God's light
It's truly frightening
To see all these people not knowing
The destiny they're facing
By not believing
Everybody on earth would agree
That the world we live in is crazy
Wealthy people get richer
While poor people get poorer
Millions in the world suffer from starvation
While we waste tons of food on holiday celebrations
Birth of sex tourism
Uprising of Islamic fanaticism
Increasing violence
Racial intolerance
Lethal pollution
Spread of HIV contamination
But there is an explanation
To our self-destruction
We live in the devil's playground
Where humanity is bound
To his treacherous lies
Until some of us realize
That there is a way out
So let us disciples go ahead and shout
Yes let us sing
To our Lord and King
Let us admire our Savior
With all our fervor
May your plan of glory
Save us from this tyranny
Come back to us
Lord Jesus
Bring your kingdom here
So that we may know no more fear
Put a stop to this separation
Let us build together your Holy Nation.

Hi there, i thought this poem was good, it has a lot of truth in it. if you don't mind a little critism, i think you could use more figurative language, and describe things a little more.
