In the Shadows

Lurking in the shadows
Is a thing no one can see
A big and frightening monster
That lives inside of me
This evil has a name
He calls himself depression
Causing me so much hurt
Makes my pain his own obsession
My heart is in his claws
He has a deathly grasp
Soon he will smother me
And that breath will be my last
