Forget

My heart is forever broken, into two,
Because of how much I loved you.
I never thought that you would be,
The guy that wasn’t in love with me.
The memories of you are now slipping by,
I’ll I can do, is wait here, and sigh.
I need to get you out of my head,
Because if I don’t I’m going to wind up dead.
You were the light that made me shine,
You we’re the one that said everything’s fine.
But now I have to forget about you forever,
Even after I promised I’d never.
I loved you this long, but cant anymore,
The pain that’s building is making my heart sore.
There was something special about you, the first day we met,
And today is the day I must forget.
I will try so hard not to cry,
This is my last and final good-bye.
