Friends

When we were just little girls
in 1st and 2nd grade
Life was fun and easy..
we thought we had it made

Now that we're in high school
we know how hard it can be
And wish we could go back
to when life was nice and easy

Now the world's filled with drama
and it's much to tough to bare
Now we have our best friends
in which everything we share

But when pressure gets the best of us we say things we don't mean
And feel like no one cares
and that we aren't even seen

And when they come back to us
and say their friendship is for real
It always makes you sit and think
"is this how they really feel?"

But a true friend is someone
who's there for us when things are good and bad
And you think of them
as the best friends you've ever had.
