THin

“Thin”

She wakes up, In the morning.
And goes to the mirror.
What she sees is not what she hears.
How come she can’t be,
Beautiful, Skinny, and as poplar as her friends.
But what can she do?
Nothing…absolutely nothing.
So she goes to school.
Seeing her friends…
She can’t wait.
It will all start and it will all be better.
So as lunch comes,
She hides away,
And taking a breath she stops.
Stops eating her food,
Stops drinking her drinks.
It’s now past lunch and her belly growls.
Yet the thought of the soon,
Beauty, thin body and popularity calm her.
So dinner comes, and her first lie begins.
“Mom and Dad I am not hungry,
I had a big lunch.”
Oh how well it feels to have control.
Day six...she’s alright.
The pains in her stomach are now an accomplishment.
Though she sees no signs of,
Beauty, thinning body or popularity.
She knows it will come.
So once again she doesn’t eat her lunch,
And lies to get out of dinner.
Days and weeks,
Soon pass…
And weight begins to drop!
It’s working in her mind.
Yet her friends begin to worry.
But no matter what she’s,
Hooked and she can’t stop.
