Vainity

by Erika   Sep 11, 2003

So in vain, you took my heart and I followed
Suffered love; changed it's name to be swallowed
Bitter roses, wilted daises fall to please
Your mystic eyes a glimmer in my soul to ease

Faded expressions to show life from ashes
Filtered love through broken glasses
Blurry visions derrange my intentions to pieces
Supplying my need through your different diseases

Bloodshot wounds trace back to the past
Uncovered the trail where we tried to last
Twisted veins to stop the slow pain
That feeds through the untouchable stain

Every me and every you hide behind our eyes
Encountered our flesh before he dies
Surrender the death that eats inside
Take the pictures of my fears of tide

Come to my song, I'll sing for you
Standing on the edge of where you flew
I would kill to touch the innocence lost
Remembering the memories you tossed
