Inside The Dragon's Lair

by wayne t   Apr 27, 2005

Dragons were my childhood fantasy protection from harms way,
Would call out to my special dragon for help when I felt scared,
Mother Dragon always came to my rescue by spreading her wings,

Growing older, but never wiser, soon women replaced Mother Dragon,
My dreams and sexual desires in my head of a woman is what I revered,
Living out fantasies whatever they may be, a woman and me, lovers you see,

No sooner than I tried, finding a woman of like desires was never to be,
Overwhelmed by my desires, always rejected by my lovers, am I insane,
Suppressing my hidden fantasies for years, Mother Dragon please help me,

Returning inside my hidden soul, begging Mother Dragon to hasten her return,
Deep into a dark sleepless night, I hear Mother Dragon's wings upon the sill,
Entering my humble abode, she embraces me looking motherly upon me still,

Holding me to her bosom, she asks lovingly what is it that you seek my child,
Reaching out my arms to her and crying, I only ask for a woman to love me,
One who has the same desires as I, someone who shall not condemn me,

For my fantasies are erotic, but filled with passion and sensuality to give,
Mother Dragon surly there is a woman who wants me as much as I do her,
My son I can change into what you desire, but it shall be only for a moment,

I can give what you want and need, but not as a woman with same human desires,
Mother Dragon shall use my vast powers of earth in bringing together you and her,
Come lay in my lair, rest until I awake you soon to meet the woman of your dreams,

Many moons passed or so it seemed, for I languished in dreams of what could be,
A rush of wind awakened me and hearing Mother Dragon's voice beckoning to me,
Arise my child you have the woman of who you dreamed, you meet this afternoon,

Senses running at a fevered pitch, wanting desperately to be accepted for who I am,
With poem, red rose in hand, a beautiful woman with long flowing silver hair was there,
Graciously she received my offering, as of me she seemed to be very pleased indeed,

Mother Dragon surely pressed her powers of fate into service on that unforgettable day,
For this Goddess of a woman and I are traveling parallel in our spirit, mind, body and soul,
Returning to her lair, Mother Dragon surveys her universe happy her child now found love,

Dragons do not exist they say, but in my mind since childhood they most certainly have,
Believe in what you may, for I asked my dragon and she came true, bringing fate into play,
Whatever the reasons or powers that be, we were brought together to love is all I can say.
