The road was dark and gravelled
and as she walked forward
she realised there was no going back.
For back was just as dark
and the cold was too much to bear.
Walking forward, not wanting to,
The wing howling, ground uneven
she held herself tight.
There was no one else to.
Looking up, she knew he would be waiting.
This monster, this evil
this insane sanity.
He moved froward, she stepped back.
She shouldn't be here, she deserved more
He shouldn't be here, he deserved nothing.
But back was cold and dark,
so she just lay and took it.
