To Jared, The BestFriend

This is to Jared, you are my best friend and I love you.

I sat and I cried in a dark room.
Asking myself,
How do I tell the world how I feel?
I write about the love of my life,
I write about the apples of my eyes.
But how in the world,
Do I write about you?

I could write about your big heart,
And how harshly it has been broken.
But that still wouldn't tell you,
How I feel.
I could write about you gigantic shoulder
That you let all cry on.
Or that you're always ready to listen,
And to give out words to help us heal.
Yet still I can't manage to tell you,
How I feel.
So I've decided to tell you this instead.
There are no words that I can bring together.
To let you know how I feel about you.
All I can say, and hope you understand my friend,
Is that I love all that you are,
And that you will always hold a special place in my heart.

I know that this sounds more like a letter, but it came from my heart, and all great poetry comes from the heart.

    Writing for someone has its draw backs you want to make it so perfect, in truth there is no great poem for those you hold dear to your heart. The best is what you can say and with sinserity. You have done this I can not judge this for it really has no meaning to me but the person you wrote it for will see it and thats all you should ever think about. I am sure if they are as close to you as you say they are They will Love it because it is the best you gave to them. I hope this tells you what you want. The best gift is from the heart and you gave that in here so who cares what others say. Look to them to truely understand and enjoy this peice take care and be well...
