Fossils of an angel

by K1n9d0m   Apr 28, 2005

I found the fossils of an angel in this deserted palace
Still in tact, but hollow in her intentions
Hope torn apart long ago
Thats apparent

Broken down like the cliffs next to the raging ocean of despair
And these brittle bones that I walk over leave the sound of an abandon love
This sight confirms my thoughts that holding yourself for comfort is not fair
And this thought entertains me, because nor is love

You are a garden where the roses have withered into black weeds
Sitting alone, locked away from the sunlight
Locked away from your friends
Your pedals have fallen, but your thorns stay sharp
And I bleed

I found the fossil of an angel today
Her emotions buried never to relive the life she loved
My angel, I have reached your hand
Pulled you back to a heaven you chose to lose
I picked up the pedals and have sewn this rose back together
I found all of your tears in an ocean of despair, and I collected a glass
My angel, I have reached your hand
