In history forgotten

by Sabine Taylor   Apr 28, 2005

In an era
So simple in life and technics
So uninviting in activities and pleasure
With an woman's life
Planned to be always the same
With walks in the morning
Practising the instrument
In the midday
And amusing themselves
On always the same evening dinners

There was one thing
That let us still think about
How tempting this life
Might have been
In history forgotten
But for a woman's heart so clear
In just a few stories passed on
That the true love between
Some men and women
So pure and strong
Gave their lifes the greatest pleasure
To live in this era
A life so simple and unspectacular

This poem is dedicated to Jane Austen's novels.

The worst thing about this era is that there is too much information. The best thing about this era is that there is too much information.
