In life’s battles you win and you lose
What comes from that you do not always choose

With you being a part of my life
Always has allowed me to fight the fight

You have substituted for pieces of my life
That have been taken or where never even in sight

I’ll owe you till my dying day
And at night you will be with me while I pray

With just the little things that you have done
Will one day help me to be who I will to become

A WOMAN of education, strength, and grace
To hold high a smile upon my face
