The edge of the wind

by Jessica Roberts   Apr 29, 2005

Near the edge
so dangerous, yet so safe
the canyon is so deep
though it is serene
wind rushing through my hair
i feel like I\'m flying
the air carries me
i feel so free
i step away
I feel safer near the edge
and more afraid away
a cloud rolls in
darkness surrounds everything
no more shadows in sight
Crash, lightning hits
the purple blue light fills the air
the sound of thunder fills my ears
the canyons start to rumble
the murmuring echo replays the thunder
over and over again
gently rain drops cover my face
i feel so close
to everything
the canyon, the air, the earth
i am mother natures child
i am the one chose to look after her beauty
the creations from a higher being
is what i live to see
beauty, life, serenity, and comfort
is what you\'ll find
outside
