Just My Conserns Lord

by Colege Dropout   Apr 29, 2005

These are my tears
this is my heart
If You would just take time
to listen I’ll try to talk.
I'm so confused
Even people think I'm "going off"
But it's still a bother to me
so I must know.
Why is it preached and taught
that prayer is conversation
between God and man
But then when I get on my knees
I feel like I'm the only one
I know your word says
that my faith will make me whole
How much faith do I need
to actually hear your voice?
I believe in You, I really do
or at least I try,
I know my life isn't
just the workings of time
There has to be someone or something divine
I've been in slumps before but got through
I ask myself at times though
Was it fate or was it You.

Now I know I’m not suppose
To emulate others
But Lord I’ve been in church long
And people who’ve been like a foundation
Turn around and make this all seem wrong
They are ruled by double standards
Always saying one thing but doing another
Sometimes it’s just hard to believe
When “Your people” give unstable reasoning
on a topic as touchy as me being saved.

Jesus will you be my friend
The one I can turn to when at my wits end?
Will you be my life,
My reason for living?
Can I really trust that you won’t be leaving?
Jesus be all I need
I’m asking You please
Hear this prayer, this plea
Jesus be my everything
Just be all I need.

Jesus Christ is everything you need if you allow Him to be. And He answers your pleads & cries if you listen closely to the whispers in the wind, the beating of your heart, just listen....It'll all come together. I pray you the best!

    Love,
    Heather.
